November 2018 Interview: A Phantom (@)
#Arrested: Alrighty, let's get this thing started! To start things off, do you wanna introduce yourself for all your readers, pants?
@A Phantom: Sup dudes, I'm A Phantom, aka pants. I'm a 20 years old college dude/teacher from chicago and I really like travelling and talking about things like science and culture, which is why i came to Cosmo in the first place.
#Arrested: Very cool, I'm gonna start this off with some user-submitted questions, beginning with a convenient one: what's your favorite part about living in Chicago? (and why is it going to school with David Dobrik)
@A Phantom: I really like living near a big city, even though I actually live in a suburb, and of course, deep dish pizza is the best.
#Arrested: Correct! You answered: deep dish pizza! Next question: what was the toughest challenge you had to overcome in your life, and how has it helped shape the person you are today?
@A Phantom: Oh man, gettin real here lol - the toughest challenge that I am currently facing is college, and working towards my actual teaching certificate. Right now I either tutor, teach informal classes, or observe, but I would love to get into a high school classroom and do what I love. It's definitely a process getting there though.
#Arrested: Amen to that, good luck in getting your teaching degree that'd be perfect for you. Tying in a little bit with Cosmo, here's another one for ya, if you could travel anywhere on Earth for free, with all the supplies/necessities for travelling there (if applicable/required), where would you travel to?
@A Phantom: That's a tough one. I'd really love to see some cool wildlife in the Amazon, but also I want to go on a tour in Europe and listen to the Vienna philharmonic orchestra live and definitely visit Venice and Amsterdam. I guess it depends on whether I'm in a nature sort of mood or if I'm currently diggin' culture.
#Arrested: Alright, now we're gonna start to get into the PS-related questions, why did you first join the Cosmopolitan room?
@A Phantom: I first got redirected to the room in late 2016, and refused to leave so that I wouldn’t get redirected there again. I slowly got interested in the topic, but lost interest in PS as a whole until late 2017, when I came back. I rejoined the room during the New Years photo contest in January 2018 and have been loving the community and discussions ever since.
#Arrested: Which staff members from Cosmo have you grown very close to?
@A Phantom: It’s nice because Cosmo is such a close knit community that I feel that I’ve gotten pretty close to the majority of the staff, if not all of them. If I had to name some names, I’d probably shoutout Ross, Lilo, and some loser named Pablo, but I definitely connect with all of the staff, whether I’ve known them from other rooms or only since we joined Cosmo.
#Arrested: What’s your most memorable experience while staffing on PS?
@A Phantom: Hm I’d probably have to say finding out that I resigned from Survivor the day I was supposed to be promoted to driver was pretty funny, although I don't know if that counts as staffing.
#Arrested: When did you first join PS? What interested you the most about Cosmo? How has your journey been since first joining Cosmo to the current day?
@A Phantom: I first joined PS in June 2013, but didn’t join Cosmo until late 2016. I was mildly interested in it when I first joined but it was kind of dead back then, and I was losing interest in PS as a whole, so I left for awhile and didn’t come back until January 2018. I’ve really been diggin’ the room ever since then and have gotten really invested in the community.
#Arrested: What's your favorite room on PS?
@A Phantom: Definitely Cosmopolitan or Scavengers, both are very chill rooms with awesome communities that I’ve found quite easy to get ingrained in.
#Arrested: Good because you were gonna be fired if you didn't say Cosmo - anyway, lets get into the serious stuff now... who would win in a fight, Stuart Little or Remy from Ratatouille?
@A Phantom: Remy would poison Stuart little before the fight even started and you fucking know it.
#Arrested: Remy ending careers :nail_care: What would you name your boat if you had one?
@A Phantom: “No Regrets”.
#Arrested: No regrets? what do you call cyclotic then :^ [A Phantom's former username] Have you had any supernatural encounters in your life?
@A Phantom: On all levels except physical, I am a ghost. So yeah.
#Arrested: If you had a super power what would it be? And what would you use it for?
@A Phantom: Hmm I’d probably go with like gravity control and just fuckin yeet myself at the sun.
#Arrested: Big mood! This one is my favorite submitted question; how did you become such a.. fashion icon, Cosmo extraordinaire. It seems like an art.
@A Phantom: Drink lots of water for clear skin and stan loona.
#Arrested: Well said, now we’re nearing the end of this interview Pants, so I think I’m gonna ask the question that people are especially wondering... How many pairs of pants do you own?
@A Phantom: Let’s just say that I have about 5 hats for every pair of pants that I own!
#Arrested: Odd flex but ok, based on your hats I’d estimate your grand total to be roughly 20 pairs of pants. Well thank you so much for your time Pants, it’s been a pleasure interviewing you, and getting to know you better, would you like to close off with anything for everyone that’s reading?
@A Phantom: Hopefully I’ll see y’all around Cosmo! Gotta go, pizza's here.
